Pommeau is a mistelle type aperitif alcohol obtained by blending unfermented apple juice and an apple brandy – Calvados in Normandy and Fine Brittany pommel or Lambig for the AOC Pommeau de Bretagne. This sweet and fruity drink goes perfectly with certain dishes such as foie gras, cheese or even melons and apple pies.
